The medical-grade silicone with which your custom prosthesis is made is highly resistant to ultraviolet light degradation, tearing and thermal damage. The “artificial skin” of the prosthesis is individually color-matched with a multi-layer color system in order to closely resemble your skin.

Facial Prosthetics
Auricular
A mirror image prosthetic replacement can restore natural symmetry to the head, channel sound, and restore poise and equanimity to the patient. A well made prosthetic ear, in addition to being anatomically correct, transmits light (similar to a natural ear) and includes capillaries to further enhance its life-like appearance.
Orbital
An orbital prosthesis restores the eye as well as the area surrounding it. This prosthesis is among the most complex type of facial restoration to design and fit because it is a multi-component device and must match the subtle modeling and coloration of the orbital area. Eyeglasses are a prerequisite to the prosthesis design. Lightweight frames, the lines of which coincide closely with the outline of the defect, are best. Re-establishing natural symmetry to the face is immensely gratifying to both the patient and the surgeon.
Nasal
Loss of the nose in part or in its entirety as the result of disease or accident accounts for a large percentage of conditions requiring prosthetic reconstruction. The nasal prosthesis is constructed on a cast of the patient using photographs pre-dating the injury. Every effort is made to design the nose in perfect scale and harmony with the face.
Somato (body) Prosthetics
Silicone finger and toe prostheses are custom designed and fabricated for the particular needs of the individual patient who has sustained an amputation. Finger prostheses are cast in a semi flexed position, extending the grasp, without impeding joint motion. They can be utilized as an assist device for such tasks as typing or playing a musical instrument. In addition, finger prostheses restore natural symmetry to the hand.
Custom Silicone Hand Prosthesis
Once the fullest possible physical and surgical rehabilitation for an injured hand has taken place, candidacy for an aesthetic hand prosthesis can be determined. Photographs, as well as any information from the referring physician or therapist, will facilitate this process.
The possibilities and limitations of aesthetic hand prostheses will vary with the individual. It is an assist device, designed whenever possible to maximize the potential of the injured hand. Custom Faceguards are made of tough thermomplastic materials to protect the face from injury. They are custom designed on a modified casting of the patient's face and comfortably held in place with sturdy straps.
